The Ravens Reunion: February 2, 1985 The Ravens broke up in February, 1969 when John, Jeff and Joe all left for military service; Jeff for the Marines, and John and Joe for the Air Force. It would take sixteen long years before the band had a chance to play together once again. When Joe told us of his planned visit in February, 1985, we decided this would probably be our one and only chance to get together to play as a band once more. So on February 2, 1985, we all gathered at Jeff's house with the wives as our audience for our 'one and only' reunion concert. We gathered a few instruments, a few six packs of beer, and a determination to see if we could still knock out a few of our favorite sixites tunes. The big questions were -- Could we still remember the lyrics and chords? -- Could we still hit the high notes? -- Could we still harmonize? -- Could we still have fun?? The answer to the most important question, "Could we still have fun?" was a resounding "Yes!" After sixteen years and with no practice, no warm up, no cheat sheets, we just picked up the guitars and drumsticks and hoped for the best! Ravens Reunion - February 2, 1985 - Song Videos
